Art Pieces by Laurie O’Reilly
Francisco de Goya (1746 – 1828)
Goya was one of the most important European artists of his timw. He was deeply concerned by war, poverty and corruption in the late 18th century Spain. Goya’s final etchings, The Follies, produced at the age of 70, are a haunting and atmospheric series depicting the folly of manknd.
My pieces are created as observations of our new and continuing follies. The composition of my title piece “21st Century Folly” is a derivative of Goya’s “Rediculous Folly”.
The show runs from May 30th thru to June 28th, 2026
Gallery hours are 11am to 4pm, Wednesday thru Sunday.
